Heathcliff’s cruelty, Catherine’s Earnshaw descent into madness, Heathcliff’s later descent into madness, Hindley’s addiction as an emotional response to loss, are all very real conflicts; these are subjects that have been considered difficult to approach then, as they are now. Search for a book to add a reference.

But their relationship develops on its own, like it’s made of other two different human beings; and by the end of the book, Heathcliff has no control over it. Catherine refused to take responsibility for her choice she never really made a clear oneand constantly worrying about her identity and future caused and worsened her disorder.

The fact that Heathcliff has been rejected by society except Catherine and her parents before the adoption and after Catherine’s interest in Edgar, has probably turned him into a unprincipled, morbid, abusive and hot-tempered man. We will not remove any content for bad language alone, or being critical of a particular book. It’s a bloodcurdling story about madness and how it can “haunt” rascruve.
